VegaVend Seller Requirements
To kickstart your selling journey on VegaVend, here's what you'll require:
1. GTINs
At VegaVend, our catalogue system requires GTINs (EAN/UPC/ISBN) for product listings. However, certain products like jewellery or car parts, which don't usually have barcodes, may be exempt.
Similarly, private label items may qualify for an exemption if they prominently display the seller's UK registered trademark.
2. Business Registration
We require all sellers to be registered businesses. To sign up, you'll need to upload some basic business documents. If you're a sole trader in the UK, you can sign up by providing proof of registration with HMRC for Self-Assessment.
3. UK VAT Registration
If your business is registered in the UK: You’ll need to provide your UK VAT registration number, if applicable.
If your business is registered outside of the UK: You must be registered for VAT in the UK and provide your UK VAT registration number which matches the business name to sell through the VegaVend marketplace.
4. Payment Options
We use Stripe to handle payments for our sellers. When you sign up to sell on VegaVend Marketplace, you'll need to connect a Stripe or Stripe Express Account. Please note this account should be in the business name that is registering as a seller on VegaVend Marketplace.
UK bank account – this option is only available to UK bank account holders using GBP.
Direct Payments can be arranged to a Payoneer or WorldFirst account, however this is on a case by case basis.
5. Products
You cannot list products that:
- Fall under our Prohibited Products Policy
- Are counterfeit
- Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of the product or brand owner
We reserve the right to request invoices / proof of purchase for items that have a higher risk of being counterfeited.
6. Returns address
You’ll need to provide a UK returns address, or you must cover the cost of any overseas returns by providing Freepost labels or a collection service.
Please ensure that your returns policy is completed when setting up your storefront and includes the above information.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, all sellers must offer up to 180-day returns for faulty goods.
7. Shipping
We kindly ask all sellers to ship their orders within three business days to maintain customer satisfaction.
Moreover, we require that goods are shipped from within the UK, rather than overseas, to prevent any delays through customs as well as any additional charges to the customer that they may be unaware of. If you need assistance with a fulfilment solution to meet this requirement, please reach out to us at vendorinfo@vegavend.com.
Your personal data will be used to support your experience throughout this website, to manage access to your account, and for other purposes described in our privacy policy.
